Terminal cancer, chemotherapy, death and God || Conversation with my friend Hugo/Ronny Lema

Carlos Santos Aguirre

This is a conversation with one of my close friends, Hugo, who is 25 years old. Hugo was diagnosed in October 2023 with stomach-gastric cancer, stage 4 (terminal cancer). It is one of the most difficult cancers to treat.

Hugo has been given a life expectancy of approximately 10 months. He has been fighting cancer undergoing chemotherapy for 7 months.

In this conversation we talk about how he found out the news, his emotional state, how he fights daily to maintain a positive attitude despite the prognosis.

This conversation was initially done in Spanish. The video went viral and a lot of Hugo's friends do not speak Spanish. That is why we sat down again to have the conversation in English.
